KATRINA REPORT - WE ARE OPEN AND ACCEPTING RESERVATIONS! We and the French Quarter took very little damage during the storms, so stop by and visit. Many thanks to all our guests past and future who have inquired about us. We are ready and waiting to host your stay in the French Quarter!

Enjoy New Orleans like a native. Start your days with sinfully flaky fresh croissants delivered to your door daily to enjoy en-suite or in the fountain-splashed courtyard. Stroll out to enjoy beautiful Jackson Square and the Cathedral, shopping on Royal St., walks along the mighty Mississippi, and all things flippy at the Aquarium of the Americas.

Hop the famous St. Charles streetcar for a rattling good ride to the D-Day Museum, the beautiful mansions of Les Américains in the Garden District, and the funky shopping and eating of the Riverbend neighborhood. Close your days with, perhaps, drinks in the courtyard, sumptuous dinners in the Quarter's many fine restaurants, and party-music-party afterwards on Bourbon St.

Built in the 1830's by a free woman of color, the Gentry House is an all-suite B&B offering five units, each with private entrance and kitchenette. We offer accommodations intimate and spacious; perfect for a couple's getaway, a family reunion, or a family vacation.

Each kitchenette is stocked with fruit, cereal, juice and milk (fresh, hot croissants are delivered to your room daily). Each suite is furnished with a comfortable seating area; most have a separate living room and bedroom. All are furnished with wireless internet and cable television.

At Gentry House you will be conveniently located to all French Quarter sights and within easy walking distance of streetcar and bus lines. Come stay with us and try living like a local!
